Of course, national pride. Still shouldn't blind you from reality though.

Yeah I give Canelo a pretty good shot to win but I think Floyd will

I agree with Dan Rafael. No layoff for Floyd means he is going to be very sharp if he is 100%. Out of a surprise KO by Canelo I have Floyd by decision

thing is virtually nobody ever predicts the changing of the guard in this sport. Yet it has to happen at some point. so while almost everybody is picking floyd at the same time almost everybody is excited why? Because almost everybody has that little uncertainty in the back of their minds thinking ... this kid has a chance a real chance.

Im not from Mexico. Im Mexican but born and raised here in the states. I dont care if fighters are black, white, blue, red or are from Mars. Im backing Canelo because i think he will win.

I've stuck to my guns from day one and am not budging.

#1: People say Canelo isn't used to fighting on a stage this big. Who is? But I don't think he's nowhere near overhwhelmed or acting outside of his character the way others have (with the exception of Cotto).

#2: Canelo has a very decent +/- ratio with connected punches/punches landed on him. He's up there with the likes of Ward (in terms of accuracy and missed punches by opponents), despite the fact that both pale in comparison to Floyd's accuracy/defense.

#3: Canelo is much more explosive than Ortiz, a bigger puncher than Mosley, and a greater body ****er than Cotto.

#4: With the exception of Guerrero (who was never a threat to Floyd), Floyd's last two opponents (Cotto/Ortiz) have touched Mayweather more than other opponents. The reason is that Floyd lingers on the ropes more. If he does the same against Canelo, he'll be the usual defensive wizard he is but taking an explosive hook from a fighter who dwarves him will have bigger detriments than the snappy jabs Cotto hit Floyd with.

#4: Canelo is young, has a large following, is exciting when he fights, and is UNDEFEATED. I had said it before but Naazim Richardson went out public with it; they would have NO PROBLEM giving the fight to him if it's close. Mayweather has a few more fights left, Canelo is still VERY VERY young.

Despite the slim odds, I've stuck to my prediction that this fight will go to the scorecards for a razon thin decision. I don't know who exactly wins but I can tell you that it'll be a MAJORITY decision. No unanimous, no split, no draw...MAJORITY decision for one of the fighters. Check my post history if you don't believe me.

If anybody wants to bet, hit me a PM.

I am here to predict that this fight will end no differently than any other Floyd Mayweather JR fight to date; With Floyd Mayweather winning by a comfortable margin or a stoppage.
Seriously.. Mayweather has picked apart this style of fighter with ease throughout his career (Yes even the Castillo fights).
Alvarez is tough and he can box.. But Mayweather exists on another level and it's gonna take someone else who also lives on another level to beat him.. Right now only Father Time can stop him and Mayweather even at 80% is still too much for most guys to handle and have any kind of sustained success.
Wanting Mayweather to lose is not the same as he is going to lose.
You gotta use your head.. Does Canelo have a chance?.. There is always a chance.. Sometimes that chance is extremely unlikely and improbable.
                      This fight is that.
