I know a lot of people on here dislike Canelo because of how he looks, you all see hype but I see talent. I'm not sure he'll win because he is very green but I hope he does. I hope it doesn't resemble Hopkins/Pavlik with the professor schooling the student . I hope Canelo can do this as boxing needs a new face and a new cash cow

#1: People say Canelo isn't used to fighting on a stage this big. Who is? But I don't think he's nowhere near overhwhelmed or acting outside of his character the way others have (with the exception of Cotto).

#2: Canelo has a very decent +/- ratio with connected punches/punches landed on him. He's up there with the likes of Ward (in terms of accuracy and missed punches by opponents), despite the fact that both pale in comparison to Floyd's accuracy/defense.

#3: Canelo is much more explosive than Ortiz, a bigger puncher than Mosley, and a greater body ****er than Cotto.

#4: With the exception of Guerrero (who was never a threat to Floyd), Floyd's last two opponents (Cotto/Ortiz) have touched Mayweather more than other opponents. The reason is that Floyd lingers on the ropes more. If he does the same against Canelo, he'll be the usual defensive wizard he is but taking an explosive hook from a fighter who dwarves him will have bigger detriments than the snappy jabs Cotto hit Floyd with.

#4: Canelo is young, has a large following, is exciting when he fights, and is UNDEFEATED. I had said it before but Naazim Richardson went out public with it; they would have NO PROBLEM giving the fight to him if it's close. Mayweather has a few more fights left, Canelo is still VERY VERY young.

Despite the slim odds, I've stuck to my prediction that this fight will go to the scorecards for a razon thin decision. I don't know who exactly wins but I can tell you that it'll be a MAJORITY decision. No unanimous, no split, no draw...MAJORITY decision for one of the fighters. Check my post history if you don't believe me.

If anybody wants to bet, hit me a PM.
His +/- ratio is good but he's not in the top ten for avoiding power shots, I hope he wins man, I really do.

          So the majority favors Mayweather.
I'm sure most of these people thought Guerrero would
be competitive, for the simple reason he beat Berto. Lol.
Man, this guy is truly overrated.
Can't wait to see da best get punked this Saturday.

            My predictions:

            1. Mayweather will win either by late stoppage or unanimous decision.
            2. Alvarez will land fewer than 100 punches total in the fight.
            3. There will be at least a dozen threads on Sunday, July 15 on BoxingScene from haters blaming Alvarez's loss on the catchweight and the ridiculous idea that Alvarez was too green to fight Mayweather right now.

My post is misleading. I'm giving reasons as to why I consider Canelo a huge threat, but I don't want him to win. I would love to see Floyd shut Canelo out just to see the standard aftermath of disappointed Floyd haters complaining all over here and on Facebook.
