Present day Boxers that could go 15 rounds

15 3 minute rounds... Thats what Legends like Ali, Frazier, Leonard and Duran to name a few did, Is their any fighters around today that could do the extra 3 rounds? Do you feel some fighters would benefit from the longer distance?

2 guys that come to mind for me our Floyd Mayweather and Tim Bradley

No i do not ride Mayweathers nuts unlike some guys on here but i feel he could easy do the 15 rounds, look how easy he makes 12 look

Tim Bradly is just a machine his work ethic and determination in the gym and in the ring is exceptional in my opinion, 15 rounds would suit him well

    Any other current boxers???

          The obvious picks...

Both Klitschkos and Joe Calzaghe; he could always turn it up a notch or three and never seemed to tire. I think Malinaggi also as well as Chris John. MannyP is a certainty.

I think most of the top fighters of today that are fighting 12 rounders could just as easily go 15 rounds. Training for a 15 round fight is no different than training for a 10 round fight or a 12 round fight. The smart boxer trains to be in the best possible shape without overtraining even if they are only fighting a 6 rounder. Fighters pace themselves if they are fighting in a fight that could go 15 rounds.

15 rounders just have a whole different pace to them, they favor guys that stay under control and don't waste tons of energy. I think most top guys if trained to fight the 15 round way would likely succeed but some of the more jackrabbit sort (always twitching and whatnot) wouldn't make it while the guys that are more like marathon runners (no wasted movement) would have more success.
