It's true, there isn't an opponent in America or anywhere else that makes it worthwhile to leave Scotland. Beltran rematch would be good, but Ricky doesn't appear to be elite at LW either. Maybe go the domestic route for now, Gonzalez and now Beltran have given him hell.

I don't know about the Euro scene, might be what he does... or just fight the lower end rated fighters of the WBO ratings.

Are you serious? Beltran just became a hot commodity for the boxing networks here, everybody is gonna talk about him getting robbed in the UK, he won't have trouble fighting a top contender here.

So he'll fight Crawford an unknown fighter on the rise, but he won't fight Beltran, I guess you might as well be compensated when ass whooping is headed your way.

We'll see if the WBO strips him. They've done it before, but who knows. If they go to purse bid, I see Hearn making sure they get what they need

Based on what I've seen of Crawford, like you I think he would outpoint Burns, same for Vasquez and Abril.

Not sure why Team Burns would be willing to sacrifice the advantage of fighting at home including the added financial gain just to appease some moronic posters in this thread.

It's unfortunate for Beltran but he would have known coming into the bout the dangers of fighting abroad.

In case Burns will somehow recover, Beltran will not come to Scotland again -- there's no point in this.
Burns will continue to fight in his Highlander backyard the rest of his career -- if any. So it goes.
