Creating a buzz on NSB.....which will likely end in the next few days = no one cares.

I remember when Kotelnik got robbed against Alexander. There was a buzz on here and then Kotelnik couldn't get a fight and never fought again.

The majority of people in this thread don't understand the business of boxing.

Boxing has a hell of a lot of douchebag fans. People that call Burns "average" make me laugh. Let's break it down. Two-weight world champ aged 30. Former Commonwealth champ. Beat the reigning British lightweight champ as a 9-fight novice fighting at super-featherweight and fighting away from home.

Average boxers don't accomplish those kind of things. Average boxers don't blast Kevin Mitchell out in four rounds or survive an onslaught and knockdown in a firefight with Rocky Martinez, or beat Michael Katsidis in a fight largely fought on the inside. Burns is clearly a top 10 lightweight. Think about what that means. He's one of the top ten professional boxers on Earth competing at 135lbs. Now go look up a definition of "average". If you are one of the top ten footballers, swimmers, tennis players, sprinters etc would you be classed as "average" at your discipline? No, you're clearly classed as one of the best. Why is it, with some boxing fans, if you're not THE best - or maybe not in the top 3 or 4 at the weight - you are derided as some sort of conman/chump? It's absurd and pathetic and a sport as great as boxing doesn't need such so-called "fans".

For the record, I think Burns got a gift the other night, but is he an average boxer? No, far from it. Is Beltran average? Far from it. Both should be given the utmost respect. Criticise the decision, question Burns' greatness - yes, he is flawed, his defence has looked very leaky in his last two fights and let's face it, 90% of the fans on here have probably only seen Burns' last two fights as he hasn't received US coverage prior to that, as far as I know - but to call him average is a joke. And he has an inordinate amount of courage to endure 10 rounds with a fully broken jaw. Beltran fought his heart out too, what a warrior.

As you do Diggz Arum, Diggz Warren, Diggz King. You always want to deflect the point, UK fighter and home referee embarrass and shame themselves, UK fans condone, try to talk about the business side and "yanks", and then on to supporting the next bum.

Of course nobody would show up to watch the Rickster here, but in UK they pack the joint to watch that stiff. And you believe that's a bad reflection on "yanks"....smdh.... You have to be delusional to be you though Diggz....

            Too much fuss already.
Burns lost his relevance, if any.
No matter what he does from now on. ("business" or "boxing".)

Beltran should take it. He'll break the other side of his jaw, Josesito Lopez style.

Burns should vacate the title out of respect for the sport. Draw was a joke.

So he'll fight Crawford an unknown fighter on the rise, but he won't fight Beltran, I guess you might as well be compensated when ass whooping is headed your way.
Crawford is a legit contender who is being earmarked for bigger things, he is bringing more to the table than Beltran. Noway can Beltran headline a show in the US and pull a bigger crowd than if he came to Scotland. It's as simple as that.

You honestly think Burns, fresh from seeing the birth of his baby boy, is lying in his hospital bed two days after the fight thinking about how he only wants to rematch Beltran in scotland?

Nsb, you never cease to amaze me.
