Putting it in the US makes no sense. Beltran cannot draw a crowd there. He's the victim of his own willingness to fight anyone, anywhere.

Stick it on an undercard and you lose out on a 7-9k crowd and TV money. That doesn't make sense either. But one thing is for sure, Ricky Burns is not ducking Beltran. He said straight away that he'd give him a rematch.
I beg to differ, it looks like a clear and plain duck to me.

Doesn't matter what it is. It would still dwarf.....absolutely DWARF anything he could get for fighting Beltran in the US. He might as well fight for free.

They need that hometown advantage to win fights.
It is primarily financial. Why go to the US to get paid less than what you make at home? It's called PRIZEfighting.

Beltran wud just break ****ty Burns jaw again

The fight would be even easier for Beltran this time round as he'd know Burns cant defend a left hook

However it'd go to the cards and he wud be screwed out again

According to the Oxford history of England, Cattle rustling was a profession in old Scotland and back shooting, bushwacking, was considered smart. Team Burns looks real smart now.

None of your points matter because there is NO HUGE financial gain for Burns for fighting any of these guys.

By your logic, the only way Burns would fight in the US would be against Mayweather, because no other fighter would bring the amount of money you claim.

To put things in perspective, Victor Ortiz got like 2 million against Mayweather, and Mayweather made 40 mill for the fight. LOL.

Again, if Burns is making 6 figures, do you HBO is going to pay both Broner and Burns millions of dollars? You're delusional.

And if HBO, and I don't think they would, but lets say they decide to pay for a Burns-Crawford fight for 1 million, and Burns gets 75% of that, that might be a little over of what Burns gets to fight any bum in his hometown.

Now answer me this, and this will tell you WHY Burns will not fight in the US anytime soon, do you think Burns would beat either Beltran, Crawford, or Broner???

Apparently all of us americans here on this site and all other sites care, it is creating a buzz around here.....so it may be a big thing by the time of the "rematch"

So you think fighting Beltran in the US would be the same as fighting Broner from a financial perspective?

I didn't think Burns would beat Martinez, Katsidis or Mitchell

                      Neither did I.

Funnily enough I'd thought he'd stroll his last 2 fights and look what happened.
