Firstly I would like to say I wish Ricky all the best and hope he recovers well to carry on boxing, a very brave performance but he can consider himself to be very lucky, I hav'nt spoken to anyone who thinks the fight was a draw or in his favour and Beltran has earned the right to have the fight in the States, but in all honestly it looks like he will have to do what Brian Mitchell did in the 80's when he fought Tony 'the tiger' Lopez by going back into his backyard and win the title, after their first fight was declred a draw and Mitchell lifted the belt on the 2nd attempt when he clearly won the first fight.

Beltran should take it anyways. Probably more money on the table this time around and I think Burns confidence as a fighter isn't what it was. Burns has looked like **** his last two outings, the next fighter to face him will most likely win. It might as well be Beltran.

I think Beltran would do better in the rematch maybe even stop him this time.

Lets get one thing straight - this is Burns' manager and promoter speaking here. They will only be open to what makes financial sense. Beltran isn't a draw anywhere, Burns is in Scotland. That's the way they look at it.

As for Ricky himself, he would fight Beltran (or anyone else for that matter) anywhere, because he is a fighting man.

I don't blame Beltran's team for not wanting to come over again, but if they want a big fight they might not have a choice.

Also, Beltran looked OK against a man with a broken jaw for 10 rounds. He still couldn't put him away. Assuming Ricky makes a full recovery, he will beat the brakes off Beltran.

beltran would still beat him and get robbed. Burns seriously is nothing special. Beltran should just move onto bigger things and let burns stay in scotland fighting nobodies. Don't get me wrong burns is tough for fighting with a broken jaw but he really is an average fighter. Just goes to show how weak the LW division is right now when you have burns as one of the top guys.
