  • Comments Thread For: Danny Garcia "Can't Wait" To Get Matthysse in The Ring

Danny “Swift” García (26-0, 16KOs) is not interested in swopping words or shooting the breeze outside the ring with Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs).

But Garcia is keen on facing him inside the ring on September 14th, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, during the undercard of the event “The One.”

“I have nothing to say to him. I’m ready. I can’t wait to face him, it will be a great fight” Garcia said.

García (26-0, 16 KO) wants to retain his undefeated status fighting Matthysse (34-2, 32 KO) and stay the absolute WBC super lightweight champion.

        Angel Garcia after the fight

It is with great sadness that I stand in front of you today delivering this eulogy for my son, Daniel a.k.a Danny Garcia. Preparing this speech has been difficult, but also very rewarding. It allowed me to reflect on all of the time my son and I spent together and how wonderful a person he was. I am glad that I am able to share some of these memories with you today and some of the attributes that made my son so special. Lucas The Machine Matthsse was just simply too much for my son. My trash talking failed on this occasion as did Daniels face when it came to absorbing punishment.

        Rest in peace son.

I hope they can both do themselves justice.

Here comes the "Danny's never supposed to win" bull**** again.

I can't wait until these two are in the ring either. It's going to be a great night for Lucas Matthysse.
