Barrera-Pac rematch not taking place: not what it seems?

I don't know if this has been posted, but when I was last checking the Pac/Barrera threads there was the assertion that Barrera was ducking Pac.

I got the reputable UK publication Boxing News today and it said the following two things:

    * "Pacquiao spurned an offer from Golden Boy Promotions for a return against Barrera on March 25 that would settle any arguments from supporters of the Mexican about who is No.1. The date was too soon for the Fillipino." (That's fair enough, right? You don't go from fighting Morales in late January to fighting Barrera in March, right?)

    * [of Barrera challenging Chavez] "Barrera had held back on signing for the fight in case there was a chance of a rematch with Pacquiao. But iwth Pacquiao seeing the date as too soon..."

Barrera is a ***** who wants to fight a fighter barely 2 months after he fought.

It's like offering a man... I'll give you a million dollars but only if you jump through that bridge. lol!

      That's how pathetic Barrera is.

Yep. But it's politics if you think about it. MAB makes an announcement about fighting the winner of the Pac/Morales fight but doesn't say when he would. It would have looked bad on the winner if he turned it down. But since it was Pac (who turns it down coz it's too early), it back fired on MAB since he signed on to fight Chavez.

To be fair, the report does say Golden Boy Promotions make the offer. I know MAB is part of it and all, but...

well... if he hasn't rematched Pac by next year at the VERY latest THEN I'll call him a puss-puss, okay?

MAB is an idiot. I thought his intentions were clearly to fight Chavez then Pac, but this indicates that he wanted to fool the public first into thinking he wanted Pac 1st. 2 months after Morales? MAB is a joker. He's gonna get ****d by Pac when they fight again.

He just say what he means and do what he says.

The view that MAB is ducking Pac has little to do with right now, or the next 2 months. It's the fact that MAB has really seemed disinterested in a rematch since the first fight took place well over two years ago.

I truly believe (& I'm a MAB fan) that Barrera has little interest in facing Pacquiao again.
