When was Mayweather at his peak or is he at it now?

I've been looking through current footage and older footage of floyd and i have noticed how much his style and way of fighting has changed.

Earlier in his career he was much faster some would say, slicker;however, as he has aged he has gained more knowledge and experience. Maybe the reason for him looking slower now is because of his experience and that fact that he can now keep his calm much better than he could?

My question is do you think that his past style was stronger and more effective than what his style is now or do you believe that now the more experienced mayweather is a better fighter.

    Thanks.

I would say the last time we saw him in his absolute prime was probably Zab Judah.

Younger Floyd was quicker and threw more combos...he was more dangerous then...now with all the experience he has, his style is more cerebral. He's still athletic but just like Jordan, he had to adjust with time & age...less dunks, more fadeaways.

I just re watched him VS Chop Chop, Gatti & Ndou today...really enjoyed the combos & seeing him take shots & still walk guys down. No one ever talks about how he responses when he gets hit clean and or hurt.

It all depends coz if u ask me i`d say as much as he was so quick and athletic back then i still say, with all things considered, skills, intelligence, experience, ring generalship and all, today`s Floyd beats yesteryear floyds

He fought decent comp there, and actually a lot of fighters look bad against low level opposition and step their game up against elite fighters, so your comment shows your ignorance. There's a reason why the people who managed Cotto and Hatton wanted no part of Floyd at that weight.
