theres nothing factual saying that his jaw was indeed broken........what I'm hearing is that it was fractured. not broken. will have to wait in till further test..........

and the whole "jaw being broken in the 2nd round" sounds way too convenient. it sounds like an excuse......it's easy to say "i was dominating the 1st round & then in the 2nd my jaw got completely broken..........therefore i fought like **** for the rest of the fight"

A joke and no one is gonna believe it..............not only that but when ricky takes on another solid opponent if he's not careful he's gonna end up getting ko'd. he's not really all that good..........


i just see him getting hurt badly & sent to the hospital if he continues to fight. he got a gift tonight with the ref & the decision.........almost babied in there.

embarrassing, & we don't need this type of circus show in the sport.

He was brave to continue with a broken jaw, he deserves props for that, but he lost and this was a terrible robbery.

Pete, as a boxing fan you HAVE to give Burns respect for fighting 11 rounds with a broken jaw.

I had him losing but do you think you could last even ONE round with the same injury?

Think about it. Really think. It's not his fault the fight was scored a draw but he went 11 rounds with a good boxer with a broken jaw. Could any of us do that?

If you truly love this sport you have to respect Burns toughness. Blame the judges, blame the promoter, blame whoever, but Burns had a broken jaw and fought for 33 minutes against a skilled, tough operator.

I respect that. That's why I love this sport. There may be dodgy decisions but the boxers are the reasons we care.
