Is Burns Jaw Injury a Legit Excuse

Apparently Ricky Burns Dislocated his jaw in the 2nd round hence why his performance wasn't the best, Are you buying in to this excuse?
I imagine Jaw injuries ti be quite painful i highly doubt Burns went 10 more rounds taking hard shots with an injury like that

it doesn't work as an excuse because if burns had fought better he wouldn't have busted his jaw in the first place. it's a consequence of his loss, not the cause of it

It contributed to his performance but he's had two poor showings in a row now.

It's not an excuse, he left it out there to get hit. Still, he showed a lot of heart fighting on because he kept getting cracked on it.

People have quit over lesser injuries.

Unless Burns caused the injury by himself (like yawning too excessively, perhaps) then no, it's not a legitimate excuse.

Obviously it would hinder his performance. He was primarily focused on protecting his jaw instead of actually fighting.

The overriding thing though is that Burns isn't that good. I've been saying it for years. He has proved me wrong on a number of occasions but the last two fights have shown me what I always believed about him. He's actually overachieved to be where he is right now.

yes. the judges robbed beltran because they knew a healthy burns would have won.
