I don't hear it often nowadays. I used to, pre Floyd catchweight on Canelo.

For me the word "drained" brings back poignant memories....... Yes..it often happened to me and I would feel devastated. It was whenever I had a heavy night and was in a tough situation.... and I'd have just taken a solid mouthful... and then TIME would be called.

Yes..... the manager would call time and my glass would have been just drained.....

Chico Corrales was completely drained after 8 weeks solid of sweat box and emetics, and he had to be helped to the scales, failing the weight twice before making 130.

This was when the Mayweather Brains Trust, figured that it was the "right" time to dangle a large purse under the nose of a desperate, over his head in debt, on his way to 2 years prison, completely disraught, facing family disaster, fighter who had outgrown the division long before, a guy who'd had weight problems for his previous 3 fights........... This was-it seems- Mayweather's "best" win, according to the "experts".
