If Molina or Ward or Alexander are allowed by the referee to smother their opponents offense than it's okay with me,if you don't like it than it is certainly within your rights to choose not to watch it.However, these are somethings that you can't argue with being bad for boxing: being a dominant american champ is good for boxing, being an articulate unbiased commentator is good for boxing, being an african american boxer who is actually a decent role model certainly isn't bad for boxing.

Both of these gentlemen, Abel and Virgil, make good points. Gennady does not have anything close to Andre's recent resume additions and HBO is paying and will continue to pay to see him dave such competition. But, where they defer, as someone else mentioned, is that Gennady is going in there and really causing havoc, which the fans love to see. Andre is not an explosive knockout fighter, the casual fan is not going to care to watch his fights. Styles not only make more than just fights, they also determine how well you're going to be ankle to market a fighter. This is why I agree that Andre will have an easier time having his return fight on another network. He's one of my favorite fighters, currently but Abel is absolutely correct

So 350-5 with 6 burger flippers. I was just getting to the point that a lot of people use his amateur record as justification for his name being put in the mix for these super fights.

It would be correct if HBO didn't televise Devon Alexander who is far more boring than Ward against some pedestrian opposition in the past and even a guy like Terrance Crawford who isn't a knockout specialist against janitors from Mexico.

You know I find this funny, and I'm not saying its you in particular, but people complained about Haymon fighters easy match ups on HBO then turn around and say Golovkin's are okay because he KO's them. If its okay for GGG to go in on Ishida's then there should've been no complaints about Broner beating on Rees

                    I don't think you understand.

Golovkin is fighting these kind of fighters because nobody else is willing, use your brain. He is not asking for tune ups or huge pay days.

Ward is however acting like he is a Pacquaio/Mayweather of this generation and can fight whomever he wants and earn multimillion in the process. HBO is saying no, and Abel is saying they are right in doing so. Ward is not a big star, yet he wants, even demands, that he gets that kind of treatment, it's pathetic.

GGG is a very dangerous opponent and if K-2 and HBO are going to offer these guys sunflower seeds than why should they fight him,or waiting until a guy has a visa issue to offer him a fight, secondly What does any of this have to do with Abel?GGG fell into his lap as a finished product,so Virgil is right he should humble himself.
