Well, against Duran, he wouldn't. I have no doubt after ten rounds he'd be asking to be put back on his cross.

duran is right. even if he does come off bitter. he was one of the craftiest fighters ever he is far more inteligent than he is given credit for. serio wouldnt last the distance with hagler.

all that being said. sergio does deserve respect.

Duran was awesome at LW and WW but he was too small at MW. Hagler and Hearns destroyed him. Sergio would play with Duran at MW then KTFO him. Next week he'll say that Chavez Sr was a poor body puncher and Gatti was boring.

Yeah, Bo, I was like, "Um, I don't remember it that way at all." lol

And I agree, Sergio wouldn't have stopped Duran, even at 160. A fight between them at that weight is up for serious debate.

He was unreal at LW and WW. The fisrt time I saw him was the replay almost 9 years later of the Ken Buchanon fight.

His style was better vs ****ers than movers who can punch. Duran was like what 7-3 at MW. IMO, Sergio wins that fight by late KO or easy UD. It's a bad style fight for Duran.
yea but duran did better against southpaws. pluss sergio is the kind of fighter that would fall for durans feints and traps. he relys too much on his athletisism and his fundamentals are all sorts of fudged up.

the duran that fought hagler and barkley and moore would do it i think. sergio doesnt know how to infight or clinch. all thinks that guys who were great boxers that gave him trouble knew how to do.

the atg's of this era would be champs but they wouldnt make it with the likes of duran and sugar etc.

This is the unending debate around here. Just one thing, Sergio ain't no ATG. I mean, I like the guy and all, but...

Why is Duran talking so much? Honestly he probably hates that Martinez style cause it kind of reminds him of the Leonard rematch.

Reminds me of Jordan saying he could shut Lebron down. The older era really never gives much credit to the new generation.
