Mayweather's personality is a big selling point. People tune into before the fight to see what crazy things he'll say. People stick around after the fight to see what crazy things he'll say. But if he didn't have skills, his personality wouldn't help him one bit.

I see that you are using imaginative arithmetic...... Your comments about your per****acity are puzzling.. Especially the "any grown person' bit....

Do you think that having 4 illegitimate children by different women are also part of the "plan" which has just been put forward?? How about the multiple violent abuses of women causing them bodily harm...?? Or has he been doing it just to fit in with his family's "business plan". Maybe they had their own "business plan" going for years..

Was his gaol term also part of the "plan"...? As for the last...maybe it was because I've read of others who got 5 years for similar offences.

And what about all the phoney manoeuvring by his lawyers who were representing to the court that he was practically dying and needed to be released.....after I think..10 days??

I'm asking because, like many more, I'm puzzled that a fighter, a confirmed thug from his youth, with multiple committed felonies, would suddenly -after a 17 year career- say that it was a "business plan". That you'd jump on the wagon doesn't puzzle me at all.

My opinion is that he's trying to "clean up his act" because his contract with SHOWTIME depends on it. His little "free board and lodging" vacation may also have contributed.

Not just this statement. He doesn't always box on the outside, but he keeps answering the same way in his interviews...He keeps saying I am going for the KO. Fans are going to watch an exciting match. However his name does most of the promotion now. He branded his last name already. He only worries about winning in the safest fashion possible. He is more concerned about being a good parent than insulting his way to become more of a public figure. He called him a flat-footed fighter. The promotion is in the name already not in his behavior. He doesn't need to give his fans an exciting fight.

Nobody said he was a saint, i'm sure your favorite fighter has indescretions as well.

Im not seeing how the bold is flawed. Many people have children without being married, and children with a different partner, don't see how this makes you a flawed individual unless you neglect said children.

All in all I think the extra flashiness was to get bread, I mean dude pretty much spoke in rap lyrics. You can't fault him for doing it.

Hell people have argued against the money Andre Ward is asking for, and he's P4P # 2. Maybe if he were a little less likable he'd get paid.

I believe it was an act at first and then he turned into the guy he was pretending to be.

Why is this guy talking about business? He calls himself "Money," yet he ducked the biggest money fight of this generation.

Damn man if those reasons rustle your jimmies I guess you don't like a lot of athletes, including a long list of boxers - many whom belong in the HOF as well - that had illegitimate kids and abused women.
