Marquez. If he beats Bradley, he will be a solid #1.

Ward would be 1a or 1b (w/ Marquez) in the interim, untll JMM v. Bradley

I can guarantee you if Canelo wins...he will take over the #1 spot. DLH owns Ring. I dont know what the other full of shlt sanctioning bodies will rank him at

completely dominant wins over kessler, froch, and dawson. he's been consensus #2 for some time now, behind mayweather. until the third marquez fight i had pacquiao at #1.

my issue with ward is his recent inactivity. he doesn't fight enough for a p4p guy in my eyes. much of that isn't his fault, however, with injuries, the pavlik fiasco, and the SS having already matched him with many of his prospective opponents.

i agree with this. it will be way too easy for them to crown canelo the p4p king. they'll do it if he wins, especially by knockout.

He wont lose but if he does lose, it will be Andre Ward.

                Marquez because of Ward's inactivity.

who do i actaully believe to be outstanding fighters of their size, regardless of accomplishments?

rigondeaux. nobody is beating that guy at 122 lbs, and he's really only a bantamweight. serious southpaw / spoiling boxing skills. good luck getting going offensively against that guy.

W klitschko. jab jab hold for several years while holding the lineal HW championship. be 6'6", 250, and fight that way. see you in canastota.

golovkin. a technical, knockout puncher with a great jab and chin? i've been a good boy for a while now. the goods.

ward. when he's in the ring and healthy nobody can win more than a couple of rounds against the guy. elite level boxing skills and a great chin.

mayweather. maybe the best defensive fighter ever. aging, but still dominant.

the fight over which i am really starting to salivate?

                  golovkin vs ward.

HBO knows that but I think it can be bigger. It's risky to let fights marinate but this is one that probably will.

while it will never be pacqauio - mayweather blockbuster, i obviously expect these two to be kept away from each other until such time that they're getting paid more for it. the sports two biggest earners leaving, in pacquiao and mayweather, will really start to open the doors for the guys hoping to get out of their current, "HBO main" tax bracket. hbo budgets dictate that hbo championship boxing purses can't get any higher than the very low seven figures.

whether or not these two can even become stars is yet to be seen. that said, if you told me that the no fear wearing pacquiao with a part in the middle of his hair would be an international celebrity i'd have asked you to see a doctor. stranger things have happened than a puncher like golovkin becoming a star. ward's got his work cut out for him. he's even becoming less likable of late, if that's even possible. all he's got going for him are his age, nationality, and that he's f#cking good at boxing.
