The referee for the Sept. 14 junior-middleweight title fight between Ishe Smith and Carlos Molina at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas will be Jay Nady.

Nady was selected at the Sept. 4 meeting of the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

The judges, meanwhile, will be Adalaide Byrd and Burt Clements of Nevada, and Barry Druxman of California.

There were no objections to these names from either fighter’s camp.

Nady has been the referee for two of Smith’s previous fights, according to BoxRec.com. That website shows Nady as being the ref for his Smith’s 2009 decision win over Chris Gray and his 2001 decision win over Norberto Bravo. He is not listed as having worked any of Molina’s fights. That seals it for me definitely not going to watch this fight, it will be 100 clinches per round and that means 100 opportunities for Nady to try and get attention.

That's the problem w/very average refs in Vegas, xcept, IMO, Bayliss, they won't allow impartial officials from any major bodies 4 world title events, rarely a judge, and vegas officials are among the worst...this will b a good 1 NOT 2 watch w/Nady there...
