It is $75 HD, $65 SD.

What's another five bucks? Because that's what you'll be paying to see Floyd Mayweather vs Canelo Alvarez in high-definition on September 14, as the pay-per-view has been priced at $75 for HD, and $65 for standard definition. Mayweather's last fight with Robert Guerrero on May 4 sold at $60 and $70 for SD and HD, the same as his 2012 fight against Miguel Cotto.

PPV prices go up pretty frequently in boxing, with promoters having to weigh the risk of raising the prices and possibly turning off fans. But with Mayweather-Canelo, it seems unlikely the extra five bones is going to matter in the end; it's such a big fight that they probably could have charged more and still been highly successful, as Richard Schaefer points out, while somewhat hilariously making himself the good guy for not charging more, which makes $75 more palatable:

"You see a lot of people said it's such a big fight it's going to be a $80 or $90 pay per view. $100 I even heard but we don't want to do that. We priced the tickets the same way we priced the De La Hoya-Mayweather tickets and for the Pay Per View we are going to go with $64.95" Schaefer would tell BoxingScene, Mike Coppinger and Michael Rosenthal.
You'll also note that Schaefer doesn't quote the HD price, because it's 2002 and HD hasn't totally taken off yet. Schaefer would go on to say that this fight is "for the masses," so $75 is actually a great price, because they have you in mind. You're the masses, you guys. Hey, they could have charged more! And Mayweather! The cable companies were like, "Whoooaaaaa, whaaaauuuuuttttt, you're only charging $75? Are you Robin Hood?"

Anyway, that's the price. I'll buy. You'll buy. We'll all buy. Or you'll totes protest and use the internet to steal it and then get mad when the feed is taken down. "It's bull****!" you'll say.
