I mean, Juan Manuel got caught and caught flush. Everytime he hit the deck he got up clear and alert. I can see if he got up off the canvas groggy and not knowing what hit him. But he appeared to have all of his senses together after every trip to the canvas.

I think Cortez did a great job not to stop the fight and it showed by the rounds proceding. I have the same opinion in the Corrales/Castillo fight. I know Diego spit out of his mouthpiece but when he rose from the canvas both times he clearly had his wits about him and both Joe Cortez in the Marquez fight and Tony Weeks in the Corrales fight recoginized that. Great job guys.
I agree it would have been premature if Cortez stopped the fight after the third KO. I think the fight going to the distance and revealed Pacman's flaws only made him a better fighter. It was a draw and nobody could change that. However if there is anybody who was affected negatively by that fight it would have been JMM. After the fight he wasn't the same JMM anymore against Pacman and even Nacho Beristain knows that. That was the main reaon I think his camp priced themselves out of a possible rematch. I do think a 100% Pacman would KTFO a 100% JMM anytime. I believed Pacman when he said the reasons why he lost to Eric and he showed that he could beat him last Saturday. I also believed him for his reasons why he wasn't able to finish JMM. Its now up to JMM to prove he was worthy of the draw by fighting Pacman again in a rematch. Manny as you know has been saying "Line 'em up!" and he's not joking.

Barrera got the worst beating of the three. He was assaulted for 11 rounds. Morales put up a way better fight. Pac-Mab was a straigt up slaughter.

I like the way how the HBO made some exaggerations by saying that Morales was beaten worse during the 6th & 7th round of the Pacquiao fight compared to all 36 rounds with Barrera.

Morales got the worst beating physically but from a mental standpoint, Marquez received the worst damage(probably **** in his pants whenever he hears the word 'Pac', LOL).

            physically:
            1. em - broken nose; broken cheeck bone; broken ribs (TKO, 4KD's technically)
            2. jmm - broken nose; bruised face and body (TKO, 3KD's without ref's help)
            3. mab - bruised face and body (DRAW, 3KD's)

            mentally:
            1. em - he is suddenly tired of boxing now. (let's see after a few months if he will be up for a rematch)
            2. jmm - doesn't want a rematch, priced himself out; could only show pathetic wins against salido and polo (who are these guys?)
            3. mab - couldn't make up mind about redeeming his loss to pac, however could show four straight wins against erik and 3 washed up fighter; hiding under dela hoya's skirt.

all of those fights have merit for most beating done by PAC both physically and mentally ... but IMHO the MAB beating was the worst it was so one side unlike JMM's and Morales who made it a great fight enough to be contenders for FOY...

mab's loss to pac was one-sided but it doesn't mean it has the worst effect on the fighter. the result of those loses whether physically or mentally has far reaching consequences in the long run than the beatings itself. however i'm not discounting the manner in which a fighter was beaten and its long term consequences for him. nevetheless pac's beating of mab and erik were very dramatic especially for fighters of their stature.

                peace bro!

lol..yeah he just quit boxing and join The Terror Squad.

Barrera is more on a one sided beating.
Morales has more damage than MAB.

i think erik did. the way he looked after the fight and how he responded to larry merchant showed that he wanted to quit boxing now. but it still remains to be seen. in some cases he probably needed some time to think it over and sort things out. i think morales is a natural warrior and if ever he decides to fight again, he will settle his unfinished business with manny. a grudge match was written in the contract anyway. i think he would need a tune up fight or two and if he won all of them convincingly, who knows we could see another thrilling fight between these two future hall of famers once again.
