How can ANYONE disrespect a warrior like Erik Morales? I don't care if he is the biggest prick outside the ring to ever walk the earth, what he does inside it = deserves EVERYONES respect.

And I think Morales couldn't compete at 135 with Castillo etc., they are too big and strong. A rematch there would be great, closer than number 2...but I doubt Pac will move up yet.

no need for a rematch anyways. As of right now, even if it's techinically 1-1, errrrbody knows that Pac is betta than Morales. Pac aint goin to 135lbs to chase a fighta he whomped. !

I think in Morales' prime he takes Pacquiao. The Erik of 5-7 years ago was a beast, and was a lot faster than he is now. I rank him higher on an all-time list too.

Just sleep it off, bro. I still sense some sour g****s on your part, lol. Great fight Saturday though
Thrashed the iron-chin myth out the window? WTF are you on about?

ANY other fighter would have been KO'd by round 6 or 7. Did you see the punches Morales took?!?!? I don't care who you are, you get hit that many times flush with punches like those, you will get stopped! If anything, this fight has improved my impression of Morales' chin, and I know many others feel the same.

It was the body shots that took his legs out, and if you watch - the knockdown punches are nothing more than taps really, and Morales just had no legs, and was too tired.

Realistically Pac is gonna get k.o'd or get beat badly by the likes of Castillo, Corrales, Freitas or any solid 135lber. The funny thing is it's the same dumb Pepes who were sayin' DeLaHoto is too small too whatever when he fought Sturm and Hops at 160lbs and wanted their fake @ss hero to step down to a lower weight class.
You have issues my friend. How could you disrespect such a warrior, who has brought so much to our sport - and left a lot of himself in the ring? I never used to like Pacquiao, but seeing his heart and warrior spirit, I have gained a helluva lot of respect for him, and I like him alot these days.

                And PAC is the best.

Morales calling out PAC at 135 is just lame. When MOrales and PAC fought, PAC had to climb up in weight once again and now he wants it at 135. Morales is clearly bitching.

SInce Morales wants to pick on a smaller guy and fight at a heavier weight, then lets just fight at 300 lbs.
Morales couldn't make 130 anymore I don't think. He worked his ass of to make 130, and the weight - (plus the body punches) - is what took Erik's legs away. As Russ Amber said, the fighter who came out for the 6th round, was not the same fighter who went to his corner at the end of the 5th. Morales was weight drained, and Pacquiao did extremely well to exploit this and add to it by working the body so effectively. Morales isn't calling Pac out for a rematch at 135. He is just saying, if there is a third fight - he wants it at 135.

Sorry bro, Manny STOPPED Morales. BEAT HIM UP. Although the body shots helped, the 152 powerpunches to the head DID MORE damage IMO.

No, no I'm not denying Manny stopped Erik.

I'm just saying, it was the body shots that took Erik's legs away. Emmanuel Steward was a great commentator on this fight - and I quite often disagree with him. But in this fight, he was correct. Pacquiao's bodywork took Morales' legs from him. At the end of the 7th, Erik complains to his corner his legs a weak. Signs of what? BODYSHOTS, weight drain, and years of wars. But primarily body shots. Erik got beat up bad to the head too, but it wasn't his chin that gave in, it was the body. Seriously bro, what the KD's in slow motion, those punches wouldnt have made Erik blink early in the fight. He had no legs. It's not like I'm taking anything away from Manny, he was the one that took his legs.

And he won't get it. He doesn't have any bargaining power now. This time, PAC's calling the shots.

Morales wasn't drained in the fight. That's a bad excuse which just turns itself to those who said it.

If Morales were really drained before the fight, then why the hell did he look slick in the first 5 rounds? If a fighter is truly drained, he won't even be able to do minimal lateral movement. I saw a fighter drained from making weight. IT WAS PAC A FEW YEARS AGO. He didn't eat for several days just to make weight (its because he didn't train), in that fight he barely moved and he got KO'd by a body shot. He was never in there, he lacked any power, he lacked the speed, and everything else.

Looking at Morales in the early going, only a fool will believe he was weight-drained. That's a ****** excuse, once a fighter is weight drained and he still fights, from the opening bell, that fighter won't be much of an opponent, he's literally a sitting duck.

What slowed Morales down was the killer punches. In the early rounds even though Morales was winning on points he was taking a bad beating from the power shots which he kept recieving.

                      That's just pure common sense.

In the 6th round, he got a killer left straight from PAC and a killer right uppercut to the body and that was it. He stopped moving, he stopped his jab, his arms were lowered to protect his abdomen and PAC sensing he was hurt, gave him the beating of his life.
