There seems to be too much emphasis being placed on a trainer here. Last I checked, Wlad got chin checked by Peter, Williamson and Brewster all while being trained by Steward. Emmanuel didn't improve Wlads defense, all he did was teach him to hold on for dear life and protect his weak chin and lack of heart.

I totally agree, but as you know, lesser fighters than Morrison were able to get to an earlier version of Wladimir. Maybe Tommy could have too. He was relentless and was a murderous puncher.
