Oh Flowmos, how you cried for years and years about catchweights, mainly to whine about a guy the leader of your cult never even fought and never wanted to fight. Oh, how all you idiots cried and cried. Then, two fights later, the leader then takes a catchweight fight. Lol.

BTW, Ellerbe is just saying this so the focus goes off Mayweather and the discussion goes onto the incompetence of Team Alvarez. And some of you all have fallen for it. The problem is, the catchweight whining is so fresh in everyone's mind, the faceoff with Cotto just a couple clicks away......they don't spin their way out of this one.

And before you cryers start crying again, just remember...all we are doing is using Floyds words against him.

This is what happens when you lie and cry all the time....your words come back to haunt you.

None of them imply anything other than the catch-weight being a term that Mayweather demanded. Unless I'm wrong about this, why would Ellerbe fabricate something so easy to look-up?
      Closest I found.

I think it was Team Alvarez idea to fight at 152lbs for the reason that Floyd wanted to fight in more lower weights.

Pacquiao is the foreman at the orchards but Floyd owns the land.

Ellerbe said BoxingScene not Bad Left Hook, I think BS needs to dig up the article IF it exists!
and it doesn't matter now for this fight other than Ellerbe's credibility on future fights.

According to Jose "Chepo" Reynoso, trainer of WBC/WBA 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (44-0-1, 30KOs), there is a weight issue that has to be worked ou

As said, if Mayweather didn't want the catchweight there wouldn't be one. If Alvarez suggested the catchweight, it was because he wasn't going to get the fight without it. The catchweight itself isn't even the problem in most fans' eyes, it's the hypocrisy of the situation that bothers us.

Saul Alvarez: I'll Drop to 150 For Floyd Mayweather Jr.

                    By Jhonny Gonzalez

WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (39-0-1, 29KOs) is willing to drop a few pounds to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs). Mayweather is the World Boxing Council's champion at 147-pounds. Alvarez has no problem facing Mayweather at a catch-weight of 150-pounds.

Last Saturday in Mexico City, Alvarez retained his title with a fifth round technical knockout of former champion Kermit Cintron.

After his win, Alvarez challenged Mayweather on national television. Mayweather is scheduled to fight on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Alvarez approached Oscar De La Hoya, President of Golden Boy Promotions, and requested a fight with Mayweather.

"It's what I want, the Mayweather fight. That's what we put on the table. I feel more mature and for that I am willing to go down to 150 pounds," said Canelo to Sal Rodriguez.

"De la Hoya said he was going to pursue the Mayweather fight [for me]. We are ready for it. It's what people want, for me to fight someone like [Mayweather]."

I presume this is the boxingscene article they're referring to.
