Cotto, Oscar,Ortiz and Mosley all punch hard but for two handed power I think Mosley is the hardest puncher Floyd has fought so far.Cotto and Oscar are converted south paws with hard left hooks but mediocre rights. Ortiz is mainly a right handed puncher. Mosley can really punch with both hands.I think Canelo will be the hardest puncher Floyd has ever fought. Canelo is the first full sized 154 pounder Floyd has ever fought. Oscar and Cotto are big welterweights in my opinion. Like Mosley Canelo has a variety of hard punches with both hands. He hits hard to the head or body and throws hard combinations. I give Canelo an edge over Mosley because he is a much bigger, heavier man than Mosley.I know Mosley said Floyd and Canelo have the same punching power and he went 12 rounds with both of them. I just think Mosley is wrong about that. I have seen both Floyd and Canelo fight many times and there is no doubt in my mind that Canelo is a much harder puncher than Mayweather. I guess we will find out on the 14th.

every fighter responds different. Cotto had more pop on his punches when he was faster and at a lower weight. His punch output went down as he moved up.
Floyd has really never had a high output. Most defense or counter punchers dont. JMM power was not there when he flew up 3 divisions. Hatton said he felt sluggish at 147...and he feels better at LWW.
Then on some fighters...moving up can bring more pop to their punches. Everyone cant be compared. Im only calling what i see in certain fighters mentioned.

130 Corrales or 147 Mosley don't punch as hard as Canelo, even if he's weakened at 152 Is this a P4P who's the hardest puncher question? I missed it.

Could be more than he was older and been in many tough fights, its not like he put on any weight he just wasn't making a cut he could have easily made.

well asking the question the other way makes no sense. its all about context. and in the proper context, canelo is clearly not the answer. and even a 147 mosely probably punches harder than canelo honestly.

How so? Knowing the biggest overall puncher, not P4P wise, shows he dealt with their punch, if they landed. Mosley did, and he definitely felt. Corrales couldn't touch him. That's relative too.

I highly doubt Mosley would ever put Austin Trout down and hurt him like Canelo did.

u seem to seriously underestimate shanes power then. he put margarito on his ass, kocked ricardo mayorga out cold, and tkoed vargas twice. he had enough power to make de la hoya and winky wright respect him at both weights. seriously theres no question for me. shane is a true power puncher. he hits harder than canelo imo.

The only one to ever do it after he got busted for cheating. Great win, but Margarito was mentally fucked before he came into the ring.

If Canleo and Mosley hit something that could measure the force of their hardest shot, I think Canelo's would be harder. But on resume, Mosley is going to dominate a 23 year old when he has been world class almost since Alvarez was born.
