For your point I get what you're saying about a good fighter taking away Canelo's abitly to land combos, but trout presents a set of problems(southpaw) and size Floyd won't have on his side! It's a closer fight than people think. And Canelo is more talented than people give him credit for! Win or lose I think people will see Canelo alot different after this fight
Would you agree the perfect gameplan to beat Floyd is the gameplan Paulie M fought Broner with? Quick combinations anytime Floyd comes near to keep him on the defensive and staying on the outside to limit Floyd's landing %

And I agree Canelo talent has been shown in his ability to consistently improve

I'm not sure how successful he'll be landing combinations against Mayweather. Canelo has great reflexes and is able react quickly to whatever mistakes his opponent makes. In the beginning of the Trout fight he was missing alot until he settled down and started looking for one shot at a time. Trout had to be aggressive so he had plenty of opportunities to catch him. His one big shot looked better than the 4 or 5 times Trout was hitting him. He won't be able to take that approach with Mayweather. If he can jump on Mayweather like he did with Lopez he might be able to do enough damage early in the fight to change the dynamics of the fight but I just don't see Mayweather standing there and getting pummeled like Lopez.

Yes, just like Taylor did Hopkins! Because He's not gonna outthink him or out skill him! Canelo is gonna have to keep Floyd busy! Keep Floyd On defense so he doesnt begin to time him and pick him apart with those quick power shots he throws!

Canelo's most underrated talent is his composure and if anything will serve him well in this fight its that composure

Does Canelo have a chance if he can't land his combinations.

Let me know what you think
he has great combos but they are telegraphed and he has not great footwork... has to plant his feet to throw em

I think fast, hard, accurate combinations to the head and body is the best way for Canelo to beat Floyd. He may not have used them that much on Trout but has used them very effectively on many other fighters.Whether he can land them on Mayweather remains to be seen. I believe he will be able to land them on Mayweather and do some real damage.
