No, they havent cured it. But they have gotten to the point where with a dedicated regimen of various medications it is in fact possible in many cases to control HIV (the virus that causes AIDS). You would still always be HIV positive, but in most cases could continue to live a fairly normal and long life.
However, if you dont stay disciplined to the ****tail of medication prescribed to you (or don't catch it an an early stage) HIV would progress to AIDS and then at that point there isnt much that can be done.Comment

I used to really enjoy watching Morrison's fights, he was a true warrior. I was very upset when they first announced he tested positive for HIV.
But how did the commission allow him to fight 2 more times afterwards? If anybody has info on this can you please explain this to me thanks.
RIP CHAMP and may God bring peace to your family in this hard time.Comment

So yeah he did waste potential, you can't expect to fulfil your potential in any sport if your abusing your body.. And his best years were 93-95 so I wouldnt call a 25 year old heavyweight a guy in his prime!Comment

Tommy Morrison seemed to be more irresponsible than Mike Tyson ever was, but since people didn't perceive any anger associated with his actions, he wasn't really challenged by the media nor fans. Instead, the boxing world sat back and allowed him to live in denial. I wish just one of the many who leeched off of him would have been a true friend. He would still be alive today.Comment
