Former world heavyweight champion boxer Tommy Morrison has died, according to one of his former promoters.
Tony Holden told the Tulsa World that Morrison, who was born in Jay, Okla., and later fought in Kansas City, died Sunday night in Omaha, Neb. He was 44.
“It’s true,” said Holden, who resides in Tulsa. “He was with his wife, Trisha, when he passed.”
Morrison’s family has not commented.
