Yes....there was a sense that no one knew for sure what was going on. A rare syndrome (Epstein Barre(?)) was touted as a possability, etc. Part of the problem being that in many Aids related deaths the person actually passes because of something the Aids causes.

People still don't really understand how epidemic this complex (Aids) is....Socially we are still so stigmatized by it! This often blocks efforts to deal aggressively with treatment when (and if) someone consents to a test.

                • Does anyone know how he died?

Poor guy, he was one of my heros, someone i truly admired one of my favourite fighters!

Rest in peace tommy which is where he truely is at, and condolences to his very supportive family!

On the bright side he will live on forever in boxing history not many people make it to hw champion of the world.

On top of that he is extremely entertaining to watch and that entertainment will live on.

His ko highlight is a master piece of destruction i will continue to watch it for the rest of my life.

                    • I have watched Tommy since the very early days of his career and also followed what has happened since his diagnosis in 1996. Its so sad that he could never face up to his illness as he would still not only be alive, but also healthy as well. That said, all we can do is walk our own path. RIP Tommy Morrison.
