Macklin did very well against Sergio, the best middleweight. Macklin was therefore looked at highly at middleweight because of that performance. So when GGG destroyed him, it was a good win. Has nothing to do with hyping Macklin up as you were saying, it was simply looking at the Martinez fight and knowing Macklin was one of the better fighters in the division.
    Okay

Stop trading ? Man that mofo is going down as soon as he feels the first strong straight right hand Axperes !!

Don't be surprised if the fight doesn't go past 2 or 3 rounds.

And Arum said Cotto was "too green" for a fight with Floyd even though he was glad to promote him as the then WBO jr welterweight champ.
Look, I understand that you have a love affair with Mayweather. That is your prerogative. No fight is impossible to make if BOTH fighters want to make it happen and stand up to their promotional companies, don't ever forget that. Hatton, is on record that he realized he had to come to America to track down Mayweather, as well as, give up the idea of them fighting at 140 pounds. His HUGE fanbase in Manchester was of no consequence, since Mayweather was fearful of making the trek. Arum was doing his job to protect Mayweather from harm, just like Mayweather fans did earlier in the year when they said Canelo was "too green." As long as you hold an emotional bias towards Money, you'll never get passed your contradictions and hypocrisy.

There is one fight in history where HBO and Showtime combined to make a fight. That's Lewis-Tyson. And that was one of the most profitable fights in history. There was absolutely no way in hell they were gonna combine to promote a Mayweather-Tsyzu fight when never could sell flies to **** at the time.

Like I said previously, Hatton sat ringside at Floyd-Gatti and is on record saying he needed a couple tune-ups before fighting Floyd. And seeing how the fight played out when they finally did fight, I see why. I don't give a damn what Ricky said as promotional hype.

As for Arum protecting Floyd from Cotto. Seeing how Cotto was damn near KO'd by Ricardo Torres and Chop Chop, I'd say it was Floyd in need of protecting.

As for my biased toward Floyd. I'd say your biased against Floyd is a lot bigger than my biased for him. And once you get over that, maybe you'll be able to look at things from an objective pov.

Lol! Props! Couldn't stop laughing when I read this! Would be hilarious if he called Quillen out after the fight in his face!

First of all, Lewis vs. Tyson was a PPV fight; Mayweather vs. Tszyu would not have been. It would have been on regular HBO and Showtime would have allowed it to happen.

Ricky Hatton said he needed a couple of fights to ESTABLISH himself in America. Seeing that Mayweather was unwilling to face him in England, and more importantly, at 140, I couldn't care less what happened in their over-hyped bout.

Miguel Cotto protected? Oh, okay. Is that why he went on to face Antonio Margarito, a prime Shane Mosley, Joshua Clottey, and Manny Pacquiao? Yeah, well protected. Maybe he should have stuck to fighting guys like Chop Chop, who he knocked out and the Arturo Gatti/Carlos Baldomir types.

I'm looking at the fact that your hero never stepped into the ring with Kostya Tszyu, a 140 pound Hatton, a prime Cotto, a prime Mosley, Paul Williams, Antonio Margarito, Sergio Martinez, Manny Pacquiao, Timothy Bradley, and a few other fellas who posed a legit challenge. What are you looking at?

As much as I love watching KOs I also hate seeing brutal ones. And I think that's how this fight is gonna end... Idk who's gonna be the one flat on his back but there's gonna be one of them.

I think Stevens has the punching power to test Golovkin's chin but I'm not sure if he has the skills. However, some of the posters are here a suggesting that Golovkin is so powerful that one punch will break Stevens in half. If that's the case why have this fight. Shouldn't he be looking at tougher competition either at Martinez or at a higher weight class.

                      Curtis Stevens will get ko'd

Curtis Stevens lost to Jesse Brinkley, remember him, and lost to a bum name Marcos Primera 19-15 record at the time Marcos is now 20-27, I was there to witness the ko in New York City, 2006 at the ballroom.
