I wish there was a way that they could do a Rigo/Gamboa/Lara fight card over there to start establishing that as the venue for Cuban fighters.
Dont feel bad. It was a surprise for Rigo. He didnt even know.

              Knee-jerk reaction.

Rigo will get his due time.

                cos promoters are ****ing ******s.

Also since Pro boxing is illegal in Cuba they can't make any money off the country. For example GB and Canelo get millions from Mexican TV. How can Bob and Oscar **** Cuba for all it's worth when they can't even get in?

South Florida has the worst fan base. The "fans" of Miami are bandwagon fans. The Heat do sell out but mainly because of scalpers, the Marlins' management pulled a nice robbery by having the tax payers foot the bill of the stadium, the Dolphins who used to be the talk of the town rarely have 75% full capacity and the Florida Panthers , well they will soon be gone. I'm not trying to be negative but it's the truth about this area. There is too many other things to do down here and a heavy population of snowbirds. They tried to get soccer down here and that failed (Miami Fusion). For boxing to get national attention down here, would have to have a star studded card. It's hard to imagine why they wouldn't want to get a card here since there is no state tax in Florida.

Sources please. You sound very insightful... you wouldn't work for a sports radio station would you?

Damit305, nope just a sports junkie. Jeff Passan from Yahoo wrote an article on the Marlins and I will try my best to find it. I do happen to listen to the local sports radio. I don't care much for the Dolphins but have been to a few games and only because my neighbor is a season ticket holder and invites me. There is a transient population down here. If you have ever attended a Marlins, Dolphins or even Heat game you can agree that sometimes the crowd will be 50/50 for their opposition, especially when it is a New York team.
