That's the problem with boxing in 50 years people will read about a guy like Nonito Donaire and say wow this guy was a 4 weight class champion. He has to be considered the GOAT when in reality he fought stiffs, old men, little midgets to win those belts haha
He just fought a guy that can beat him.

I know Nonito thinks of himself as "exciting" but there's no reason why we should repeat the bs.

He has been putting stinkers when faced when non-brawlers.

Put Rigo with Arce and he'll look as "exciting." Its easy to look "exciting" when you can actually counter punch. Don't get me wrong; he's a great fighter, but not "exciting" in the way HBO, Arum, and Nonito keep pushing.

Nonito is more marketable than Rigo not because he's "exciting," but because he's Filipino and Pac opened a market.

Not every fighter is going to be exciting every time out but Donaire is rightfully perceived overall as exciting and Rigo mistakenly is not. His biggest fight was seen as boring where Donaire has a bigger catalog of wins to draw from where he had great exposure and was exciting. However, I enjoy watching Rigo but I do think Rigo needs to take it out on the next guy he faces in the ring and blitz the guy and make a statement. But Pac opening a market for Pinoy fighters doesn't mean anyone can get on that train. There are a good number that never get to the level where they become stars or get many TV dates. The doors may be opened, but not anyone can climb through.

Sure they'll be heavier than that when they rehydrate, but I was replying to a Rigondeaux fan who said Donaire was taking the "easy road" even though he's moving up to his 5th weightclass while Rigondeaux refuses to move up one. I don't blame Rigondeaux, you gotta do what makes you comfortable, but you can't say that Donaire's road is easier than Rigondeaux's.
