WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) expects Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) to be an easier fight than Miguel Cotto (37-4, 30KOs) of Puerto Rico. Cotto was Mayweather's last opponent at junior middleweight. On September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Mayweather will head up to a catch-weight of 152-pounds to face Canelo for his WBC/WBA junior middleweight titles.

Cotto has a better jab than Alvarez, but Canelo is faster, fresher and punch more in combo. Power is about the same.

Mayweather should not fight Alvarez the way he did with Cotto. He need to use his legs more.

Austin trout is easily better than Guerrero why not compare Canelos most recent fight to floyds most recent fight. We can also ask trout who was the tougher fight since he's already been in the ring with both.

its not nonsense. cotto has a jab, and best of all, cotto knows how to cut the ring off. canelo's footwork is crap in comparison and canelo also has a crap jab. being bigger and faster wont make him do better than cotto, seriously I shouldn't have to even say this.
