Kovalev couldn't move for 10 minutes after he got knocked out in sparring. Not the first time, he has been hurt in sparring either. Kovalev doesn't like the body shots. Look at his body. He is a fraud, he just lucky with a Campillo that hadn't trained at all and was drinking and fighting with his wife and a Cleverly who would have gotten knocked out by any of the currently light heavies. Trust me, Kovalev will be exposed by one of the other champs. Plus, outside the ring, he is a complete jerk off.

Kovalev needs to stfu all his trash talking about other champions. Kovalev GOT KNOCKED THE F OUT IN SPARRING BY GOLOVKIN. I saw it, he got knocked out twice by GGG at Big Bear sparring this last camp. Kovalev has fought absolute nobody's (look at his record) & you can't really count Cleverly fight as Clev quit. The instant Clev stepped up, it would have happened. & Campillo showed up 2 days before the fight with Kovalev, he hadn't been training at all, drinking, wife problems, etc. Campillo was not the same fighter that fought Shumenov & Cloud. Kovalev will get exposed for the fraud that he is when he fights someone real. Keep acting ****y and disrespectful towards the other champs, your days are numbered. By the way, did you give your purse to the fighter that died like you promised. No you didn't, you hypocrit!

Kovalev talks less trash then any other fighter I know. If he didn't have mics shoved at him, he probably wouldn't talk at all. BTW, How is calling B'Hop a 'Legend' talking trash about him?

First of all this whole ordeal goes back before he signed with HBO. Hopkins basically said Kovalev had to go prove himself, while he fights Murat. Hopkins is stuck with GBP and has a fight upcoming, Kovalev had no other choice then to sign a contract with HBO. That last paragraph makes no sense, whats he suppose to do, not sign and sit around waiting for him? Hopkins began to talk right after he knew a fight wasnt gonna happen because of GBP

No my friend, Hopkins said he would defend his title against Kovalev if he had to. Showtime said they weren't interested in the fight, then Kovalev decided to sign a Cleverly fight and give up his mandatory status because he thought Hopkins would vacate and fight Cleverly himself. I don't think Hopkins has ever vacated a title in his life, he's old school like that, so Kovalev jumped the gun.

Yeah good point. It would be an interesting deal if say a post-Arum Top Rank would be willing to release/rent fighters like Donaire or Mikey Garcia to GBP while GBP would release guys like Quillin and Hopkins at weights where GBP doesn't have much depth. GBP is stacked from 140-147, but the two promotional outfits need to start mixing up their fighters at junior and middle weight. Quillin is out of the middleweight resurgence. He has no dancing partners. Hopefully the Bob Arum era will end soon and the Top Rank idea of 'marinating fights' will die with it.
