I'm not Kovalev's manager. You aren't either.1: Kovalev and his team made the decision to sign with HBO, and now they're pointing out that this will preclude a fight with Hopkins. That's the end of story, for now.

2: If I have an agenda, it's pointing out how ridiculous it is for keyboard warriors to suggest that a fighter like Bernard Hopkins, who made a career out of beating guys that critics said he couldn't, is trying to avoid Kovalev.

This isn't middle school. We're dealing with grown men who have chosen to fight for a living. Just because the business side of things prevents a fight from being made doesn't mean that fighters are scared of each other.

2: You seem to have some sort of an agenda, because the writing and timing is written all over the wall. I never said Hopkins was "ducking", but I certainly recognize that all fighters will actively balance "risk vs reward". Kovalev carries a ton of risk, and GBP knows it all to well.

FYI - Kovalev is a racist, too. He personally stated these racist comments in an interview about black people (which he also refers to them as sunburned people), "They talk too much. I live in Florida and there is a lot of people in Florida from the islands and everyday I like them less." I wonder how his trainers who are both black (Turner and Jackson and Jackson) would feel knowing their fighter is a racist. Even the Russians are saying what a ******, dumb comment he made to the press.... So for all my African American friends, now you see what I stated.
