I can tell he's looking to retire soon by the way he is starting to venture out as a celebrity and of course his duties as a family man. With wins over Mikkel Kessler, Jermain Taylor, Lucian Bute, Andre Dirrell, Jean Pascal, and Arthur Abraham, why not? He's established himself as a strong champion and who else does he take on? Not a trilogy fight with Kessler. The fight with Hopkins at a catch weight perhaps. It would sell out in Nottingham.
Imo Froch is one of those who won't retire until he's stopped in the ring.
