Why is There More Concern for the Guy who Will be 170 lbs?

I find this amazing. There is more concern on this board for Saul Alvarez the guy who will be 170 lbs on fight night than there is for Mayweather, the guy who will only be 150!

All this talk about how weak Alvarez will be going up against a Welterweight??!! Even if he is weak what does he have to fear from a light punching welter?? Is Floyd a KO artist..a mini Mike Tyson or something?

Understand we are talking about a Super Middleweight against a Welter on fight night and people are worried about the Super Middle!! Can somebody explain why there is seemingly no concern for Floyd being the much much smaller lighter hitting man? Is it ok for him to be outweighed 20 lbs? Its not ok for other fighters to be outweighed by 20 is it?

It appears that Floyd has to fight with handicaps (weight, size disadvantage, you name it) literally give his opponent a head start for some people to feel its a fair fight. But at the same time those same people want to say he's not an ATG.

        nobody is "concerned" about Alvarez
they're just rubbing Floyd's hypocrisy in his fans' faces
he could beat Alvarez if he weighed 154, or 160 for that matter
the shamelessness just irritates people, and they're speaking on it
Alvarez is a grown man and he signed the contract, so fuck him
whatever happens is on him and nobody else

skills pay bills. size don't mean much especially when your talking about rehydration weight. not like hes fighting a natural super middleweight with speed and skills to match his size advantage.

I feel like this, If Saul Alvarez was really a Junior Middleweight then there would be no catchweight (ala Oscar and Cotto) but since he is really a Super Middleweight posing as a junior Middle then tough luck on making 152 buddy. An actual 154 lb fighter could make 152 with no problem wouldn't you agree?

Alvarez clearly uses his size and weight advantage to win his fights, he has a history of bringing up welteweights and junior welters knowing he can bully and outweigh them a ton. Thats his gameplan and I like the fact Floyd has thrown a wrench in Ginger's blatant strategy.

It was very contradicting to fight him at a catchweight after he said"i dont fight at catchweights" so this should be expected

I'm thinking Matthew Hatton, Josesito lopez, Alfonso Gomez, all smaller men forced to move up to fight this guy. Was Alvarez size and weight not a factor?
