      A couple of points:

      1. With Floyd, "hit him anywhere, hit him everywhere" has to be a part of your strategy. That doesn't mean "get reckless and try to take his head off" but if Alvarez tries too hard to position his shots with Floyd, he'll be waiting all night and won't get off anywhere near enough to cause Floyd problems.

      2. If Alvarez believes that Cotto provided a (partial) blueprint for effectively fighting Floyd but that he couldn't sustain the effort, he's going to have to come to grips with the fact that his conditioning is far inferior to Cotto's. In my opinion, this is the biggest problem for Alvarez. Short of putting Floyd away with one or two punches early on, something which Alvarez isn't really known for, particularly as he's fought better opposition, it's hard to see a fighter with such visible stamina issues being able to execute on a 12 round strategy versus Floyd, who is arguably the best conditioned fighter in the sport.

Hatton had 1 fight at 147 correct? Ortiz also? Ghost had 2 fights before Floyd at 147 and Cotto had SOME success. But that's a past prime Cotto who still managed to give May a rough fight.

Oscar had 9 fights at 154, I could be wrong but hes had a couple. Canelo has had 11. Canelo isn't old man Oscar. I'm giving him a good chance to pull the upset. I don't think we have seen the best of Saul yet. Hence 152.

Cotto also has faster feet than Canelo as well.

He's talking too much, so that means one of two things

                1) He's trying to hype himself up

                2) He is discrediting Floyd.

I'm thinking it's the former because I hope it's not the latter. I'm on record for saying that Canelo is getting a beatdown. However reckless he wants to be is how badly he gets that ass tapped.

what's your point pac had only 2 when ever one wanted him vs floyd.

funny how it's only a problem when it's floyd vs someone else.

I get it, but a guy with notoriously bad stamina is going to raise some concerns if he can't seem to even get through a media day looking like he's not gassing. I hope he looks better on the 14th.

Yes Floydie adjusts his game plan to the other fighter, we all know that. The difference here is, this is the best guy he's faced since he's been in the driver seat being able to line up whoever he wants to fight. This is as close as the Ducker getting caught in his own web as we will see. Canelo has shown great improvement in recent fights. The defense he showed vs Trout was excellent. And from what I've read, they have a strength and conditioning coach in camp for him now. So maybe the stamina issues will not be as much. All I'm saying is, it looks like this has the best chance of being a serious challenge for Floydie for once. Sugar Ray Robinson never ducked anyone. It's the reason why he didn't retire undefeated. Floydie has blabbered til the cows come home, just to try to convince everyone he isn't ducking. I'm not fooled. Obviously a lotta Floydie Fanboys ARE fooled. I'm looking forward to this matchup more than any in recent years.
