Comments Thread For: Canelo: I Will Show The Way To Beat Mayweather

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez may be young but he assured everyone at his media day in Big Bear, CA that he is ready for the huge task of taking on undefeated pound for pound king Floyd “Money” Mayweather on September 14th.

In 44 fights, 44 opponents have come up short as in 17 years no one has been able to decipher the code that is Floyd Mayweather. Alvarez will be the 45th fighter to make an attempt to remove the zero from Floyd’s loss column and he believes he has the solution to be able to beat him. He feels others have taken the wrong approach and he will be the first to show how to do it the proper way.

I hope Canelo is in a lot better shape than usual, but I'm worried he isn't based on how he looked on the media day. If he's not, this will be any easy night for Floyd as long as he doesn't somehow walk into something big.

Oh, and even if Canelo's in great shape I'm not convinced he could seriously trouble Floyd.

When people say "so and so was doing good but stopped" the reason they stopped is because Floyd adjusted and took it away.Amazing how as a fighter Canelo says something like this...What happens is Floyd adjusts and the other fighter doesn't or can't

I am compelled by the approach to a training camp he's had. It seems they brought in guys with decent hand speed with different approaches to perhaps help him adapt better..time will tell if it was a smart or bad move tho as most of his sparring partners aren't overtly experienced.

We've seen how to beat Mayweather.

            Alvarez won't do it.

It's media day! Seriously man! It's media day! What's he supposed to do to impress you? Run wind sprints and never sweat! Get a grip! It's a meet and greet to drum up interest in the fight! Not the day to prove his stamina. That comes on the 14th

ODH, Cotto, and Shame Mostly all showed us the way too but what happened? This site is slowly adding bias to my posts.
