His ratings are always high on HBO. Stevenson vs Hopkins would undoubtedly do better numbers than Stevenson vs Cloud.

Thankfully, HBO caters for the more sophisticated fan base, that's not too enamored with crying old men or head-butting freaks.

HBO doesn't want to lose a world title to GBP/Showtime.

Look at how GBP locked up a 3 fight option plus a rematch clause on Jhonny. They want to keep that belt in their camp so Donaire/Mikey/Rigo, etc. can get their hands on it.

Now they can get Mares and Russell title shots.
