Then you need to sit down and read a book, watch a film or two and ***in justify it.

Mayweather is more concerned with keeping his precious '0' than being an ATG. His best dance partner, Manny Pacquiao, is just as high as Mayweather, if not higher - but right around the same.

I'm not going into who's fault it was, but these guys should have fought a trilogy. Mayweather has a nice habit of fighting guys way past their prime and having his favourite friend say: "At the end of they day, Mayweather will go down as the best to ever do it".

It's all bs and pr. Mayweather is not top 30 at all, I could easily rally 30 fighters that are higher than Mayweather.

I'm actually a big mayweather fan, but I can't stand when fanboys are trying to elevate his status much higher than it rightfully should be.

What's really disturbing to me is how loosely the phrase "All Time Great" is just thrown around. Being undefeated does not make you an all time great. Winning a popularity contest does not make you an all time great.

Beating great opposition, overcoming adversity, showing a fighter's heart when in dire need of it, taking on all comers and sending them packing, DUCKING NO ONE are just some of the attributes of being an ATG.

It is positively mindboggling to me how Floyd Mayweather Jr could be placed even in the top 10, much less the top 30 when there were so many more great fighters who proved themselves a thousand times over what Mayweather has even come close do doing.

He hasn't even proven himself the true best of his era! How the blue hell can he be placed top 3 since boxing became an organized sport?!

        NFW!!

Why are they? It's one thing to argue they have such a case, but unquestionably? They are both genuinely great fighters in their own right, but there are divisions that are historically deeper than the heavyweight division, and there are many fighters who proved themselves to be great in more than one weight class.

Real talk. Those 40s and 50s lightweight ATGs must be spinning in their graves at this.

Obviously, this is a horrible list. That said, when it comes to Floyd, he's a lot better than his critics want to admit. And he's equally not as good as his worshipers wanna believe. IMO if you have the guy above #10 on an all-time list, you're being a lil fanboy-ish or simply have a lack of knowledge. And if you have him below 20-25, its based purely outta dislike for the guy, or lack of knowledge.

K, i'm ashamed when i read **** like that article...really...Floyd is a great fighter but for people to rank him at #3, it makes it hard to defend the fanbase of this sport

First of all I am no Fanboy of Mayweather, every one of his fights I'm cheering for the other guy.

And I do agree that he has fought big names at a great advantage to himself (JMM springs to mind), and he has yes also massively ducked out of any potential showdown with Pacquiao.

However, the guys he's fought and beat (a lot of the time quite easily) is very impressive. The guy is nearly impossible to hit clean.

I believe he is without doubt a top 30 ATG but has the skills to be even higher, the fact that he ducked Pacquiao and fought older versions of solid World level operators is why he isn't top 15 -20.
