Outside of heavyweight, that problem doesn't exist with boxing. Football players get bigger, faster stronger, as do basketball players and baseball players and hockey players and every other sport.

England (or the UK) is obviously quite different from continental Europe with the language barriers etc. I don't know if Mayweather is as well known on the continent.
