That's such a crap... It's like saying Sammy Sosa was an all time great baseball player during the summer of 98.... Gotta wait until after retirement to really put a career in perspective. A lot of people would say he already has losses to De La Hoya and Castillo. All these other guys are long gone and its still a crap list. I don't think you could find a casual sports fan on the street who would put Mike Tyson in the top 10, let alone ahead of Joe Louis. Calzaghe is not in the top 10 either. Garbage.

I don't know how they have Leonard on this list either... This poll was taken at a special Olympics event in England and they flranked the fighters based on the ooohs and ahhhs the pollsters gave at the sound of each name.

When you poll fans, the vast majority of whom have never stepped in a ring or only follow the "names" of a sport, you get votes based on popularity. No problem with names like Ali, Leonard, Robinson and Duran being there but Floyd, Tyson and Calzaghe? Seriously.

It's just a popularity contest/ Also depends on who the names were that were up for votes. That's a critical aspect of the vote itself.
