Did Mosley or Clottey get into a position where they were the #1 contender for years and the public wanted to see the rematch whilst Cotto was the Champion and he turned it down?

Did that happen with Mares and Darchinyan?

How are those situations the same? Enlighten me.

Johnson beat Langford when he was a green MW.

Langford got himself into a postion where he was an experienced, solid Heavyweight and the #1 contender that people wanted to see and Johnson turned down the fight.

Instead he got lesser fighters.

If Cotto was the long reiginig Champion and Clottey or Mosley got into a position where they were the #1 contender, highly improved, and legitimate at the weight and asked for the rematch and it was turned down and avoided then Cotto would be ducking them.

I just gave the example to show avoiding is not the same as ducking..Business and other things play into why a fight does not happen at times..Everything is not so black and white as a duck..
