Good for HBO, they're showing global boxing in 2013 irrespective of location.

      Martinez v Murray (Arg)
      Froch v Kessler (UK)
      Fury v Haye (UK)
      Geale v Barker (US)
      Klitschko v Povetkin (Rus)
      Pacquiao v Rios (China)
      Bradley v Marquez (US)

yeah they are. Why would they want to headline a coward like Haye? I wonder if his big toe is in shape?

I am glad HBO is showing fights from all over world. Getting some exposure to these fighters is a good thing.

This sounds like a good show except for the Chavez jr crap of a fight.

Also love they picked up the Klit v Pov fight

HBO overall has upped it's fight level..back to showing good fights and done with just showcasing great fighters vs journeyman.

True, that GBP has some very good fighters and I think that the split with GBP has been good for HBO for 2 reasons:

1 SHO & GBP has stepped-up it's fight cards to accomadate their stable of fighters thus forcing HBO to make better fights than Berto vs Tomato CAN ALLEY

2 HBO is starting to move to showing more competetive fights at the world class level and 2-3 per card. I also read that HBO will start showing more undercard bouts too.

More fights on HBO and SHO =better exposure and tv time for more fighters which = better for the sport overall. Now as soon as TR and GBP end theri fued and alllow single case agreements for fights.....

Me too. Overseas controls the heavier divisions, and since GB/Showtime has control over the lower divisions HBO should be showing these fights.

Just upping their game to win over the competition. I don't see it as desperation. It's not the first time that they've shown fights from overseas. And coincidentally the biggest heavyweight fight of the year coincide with two fighters they are trying to build up.

                      Nothing unusual.
