I too started following boxing around that time and I would say 2013 has been an amazing year, but that also might be because I've now been following the sport long enough where some of the prospects I remember hearing about really came into their own. For instance I remember watching Guererro fight Litzau years ago and it was cool to see him get a shot at Floyd. Same with Canelo. I remember watching Provodnikov fighting on FNF and it was awesome to see him put on a fight of the year. So while I think it's been a great year, I think it may be that I've been following the sport long enough that the fights have more meaning to me. But it has been great.

I've been following boxing since 2008 but 2013 is by far the best year of boxing

I instantly thought 2008 itself was the better year from then to now..
This is a solid year..but I got 2008 on top of it still

2013 has been a great because of all the fighters that proved they are ready to face the best in their respected divisions. Stevenson, Lucas, GGG, Canelo, Rigo(dethroned top guy), Kovalev, Estrada
Then Wilder and Ruiz got some hype as decent heavyweights to contend with
