I've been following boxing since 2008 but 2013 is by far the best year of boxing

I've been following Amir since '07 and boxing since '08 but never ever have I been this excited all year long. We've had great fights and there are plenty more to come.

Is this the best year of boxing ever or what?

aboslutely, undercards have been great, even the nbcsport network, friday night fights, shobox friday night have been terrific.

i been thinkin about this myself, in that time frame (08-13) this is probably the best year yet. I remember the hype surrounding mega events like Pac-Cotto/Hatton and Floyd v Mosley but nothing of this consistency, especially with all the surprises and wars we've had the honour of seeing. Heck, Bradley v Prov was one of the best fights I may have ever seen, it could have gone either way and Bradley proved he has the heart of a lion to any haters out there. Yeah the guys gona get hate for his fight with Pac and his reaction in the days after but that's deserved but he will always have the Prov fight to fall back on, no matter where his career heads towards now.

This year started out very rough with fighters pulling out with injuries, but it picked up quick and hasn't let down! Definitely a great year so far and we still have many great fights coming!

Best year? Nah, I don't think so. But it is definitely looking to become a good year. We've had a solid couple of fights so far, but the biggest ones are still to come.

I completely agree. I was just talking to my buddies about this, and was saying that 2013 really has been the greatest year of boxing that I can remember in the last decade or so. The consistency, the cards, the month to month showdowns, everything.

All that goes without mentioning that the most enormous blockbuster fights haven't even happened yet! This year has been awesome.. Boxing is really back at the forefront of fighting sports. MMA had it's little serge for a few years, and is still cool, but boxing really took back the reigns this year
