Nothing new here. Shumenov hasn't fought a live body for three years and comes back against another cupcake ranked 114th by boxrec. Would compare him to G. Jones at cruiserweight but at least most of Jones' occasional defenses were legit. Not surprisingly, Kovacs isn't ranked by the WBA.

Classic. Ahmedov hasn't beaten anybody in the top 100 and he's the mandatory. Sad thing is Shumenov isn't half bad, but his promoters haven't put him in a legitimate match for more than three years.The WBA should have stripped him long ago, just like they should have stripped G. Jones.

Isn't he fully self promoted? I get the feeling the whole thing is a sham. There were rumors he came from oil money, and sure sounds plausible now. So he pretty much bought himself a world title cause he wants to call himself world champ, but no interest in acting like one

Awful PPV card! I dont mind Shumenov but to have to pay watch him fight a bum is ridiculous. Hell ive only seen him fight once :bukkake:
