Both. He was going to unify with Shumenov and backed out and then was supposed to defend against Cleverley and backed out. No way he should ever get a title shot again, surprised the WBO would even consider it after he made their belt look like a joke, but money talks I suppose.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think he was injured. Nevertheless a Kovalev-Brähmer showdown is certainly a fight I'd like to see.
