People are strung out on Matthysse power but there are fighters who have felt his power and got up to go the distance. Garcia is younger, a littel bit bigger, has a tough beard and is a very good counter puncher. I see Garcia having problems with speedy, boxer type guys but he should be able to time Matthysse. All he has to do is keep a jab in Matthysse face and set him up for the left hook. Got a feeling Garcia will be using a lot of his right hand because Matthysse will be focusing on not getting caught with the left like Judah did. This fight is more anticipated for me than the Mayweather fight for sure.
This would be sound analysis if Matthysse was coming in there to box like he did a couple of years ago, but lately he's been coming in there to take his opponent's head off.

Sounds good and all but Peterson tried that with his jab and it didnt work that well. The plan went to hell as soon as Matthysse landed his first power punch.
"I got lazy with my jab" said Peterson. No my man, you just got KTFO like the rest of them.
A slick boxer can create problems for Matthysse, even if he can win against a slick boxer without a problem like he did with Alexander (yes, when you win 9 out of 12 rounds you won). To beat him you'd have to be even harder a puncher or a very slick, superb boxer. Garcia is neither one.

Matthysse has just arrived in the US to adapt to the timezone and climate. All you read here is nothing but a step by step reference to this interview by several jounalists. Obviously it must appear as though Matthysse has a lot to say, whereas in fact this is just one long press conference.

As far as Garcia is concerned, he still trains on the eastcost. As soon as he arrives you will read alot about Swift here on boxingscene.

Except from that, Mattysse by KO in the middlerounds. I don't see Garcia having the slightest chance here, based on what I've seen of both fighters.

I dont see what makes Matthyse so much better than Garcia in the fans minds. Garcia actually beat Judah who Matthyse did not, Garcia has beaten better fighters than Matthyse period. None have shown that they are invulnerable or unbeatable so I simply say its an even fight. I have no problem seeing either guy as the victor. Heck Danny may even be the more skilled fighter...

Mattyse is not some old wornout old ex champ. Mattyse has a great chin and we know about his power. If Garcia hits him Mattyse won't stop coming, Garcia knows that as well. Mattse also moves his head better than people give him credit for. I believe it will be a great fight and mattyse will edge it out or Mattyse will ko Garcia. The only way danny wins is on points he's not Koing Mattyse it's just not gonna happen.

It's not like Matthysse is calling the media to talk about the fight. They're coming to see him because he's hot right now, that's all. It's the media asking the same questions over and over. They guy is actually very shy and avoids the limelight. Last saturday he was interviewed at the Mares fight by Showtime; at the press conference, the whole boxing media showed up. How is that his fault? In Argentina he's actually not that well known and certainly not a star like here. Except for Broner, Mayweather, Malignaggi and a few others, most boxers are humble and respect their opponents.
