I'm not OK with this right now. Floyd is reluctant to move up at 154 for a reason. The same is valid for Lucas moving up at 147. I think is better for Lucas to establish himself as a great champ at 140 and move up later. A big payday against Floyd at the wrong time (which would be right now) could mean less money for Matthysse in the long run. Anyway the outcome of the Floyd - Canelo bout will likely open the door for a rematch.

i think and hope matthysse will beat garcia. If he does I hope he doesn't fight mayweather next though, let him get a couple fights at 147 first. If he gets 1 or 2 fights at 147 and looks impressive, the hype for the fight would be huge next september

I think Floyd is reluctant because it's his 5th weight class. That's a big difference between the two situations. Honestly, I think Lucas would be fine fighting Floyd next but I have no problem with him having a fight or two in between. Lucas could fight in January at 147 and be ready for a fight in May. If Floyd doesn't fight Matthysse in May then who's next?

Maybe Canelo if the upcoming fight is not easy or Maidana if he KOs Broner. I wouldn't dismiss very quickly these possibilities.

Let's pretend you are Matthysse's advisor. He just beats Garcia abnd Floyd gets past Canelo. Now what would you tell your fighter to do if an offer to fight Mayweather comes? Who in their right ****ing mind would turn down their biggest payday ever against the #1 p4p. You can't get any bigger than that and the longer he waits the riskier it becomes. Who knows what happens in between the next fight maybe Mayweather loses. Why risk the biggest payday of your life for the unknown.

Problem is your trying to make a bigger fight and I understand, but really $'s run boxing and if this fight doesn't happen following Sep 14th it will because Mayweather doesn't want it for whatever reason.
